Beautiful place for camping. The stream behind is the main attraction of this site. Kitchen facilities could be better like more fridge/freezer space, more hobs for cooking . More shower rooms . It would be nice if they could add couple of toilets on the other end of the site .

The room, number 8, had the best view! Corner unit facing the river and a majestic view of the forest hillside couldn't be better. The walk around the river bank was even more impressive! Friendly and helpful staff. Perfect stay for my wife and I. Spent nights listening to the sounds of the river. Great memories!

We stayed here in a campervan and found the place ideal. It was very quiet in a beautiful setting. The eels were impressive and there were glowworms nearby. The facilities were well looked after and nice and clean. Staff were welcoming. There was a hotel 5 minutes drive away if a meal out was required.

Nice little spot in a tidy camp ground. Close to river which was great for staying cool. Nice playground and flying fox for the kids. Also eels and glow worms are very accessible for kids! Got pretty busy with cars, and some pretty long queues for toilet block at peak times, but outside of peak times it wasn't too bad. Be aware there's no Vodafone/One NZ mobile coverage, and wifi is adequate but a bit spotty if you're dependent on it.

Excellent campsite! Clean, plenty of space, glowworms on site and massive eels! swimming lake with a rope swing, connect 4 and loads more to do. excellent walk around the site. really friendly staff, would highly recommend!

Friendly, welcoming staff. Clean facilities. Great location for Tane Mahuta and Kai iwi Lakes visits. Very relaxing surrounds. Enjoyed walking around the complex with the map identifying the landmarks, native trees etc.

This is good place to camping, enjoy yourself and close to nature, also the playground is pretty for the kids, that is bigger than some places. But only one to go that is not feel good, phone is no signal, . Membership 5gb data, others 2gb. That actually not enough to go. Finally plz remember brings all food how many days& meals you camping.
